About Us
Founded in 1777, Avenue United Methodist Church has long been rooted in the life of Milford and the surrounding area. As early as 1827, Avenue has had an organized Sunday School, teaching children to read. Avenue's current sanctuary is it's fourth house of worship.
As a United Methodist congregation, we stand in the mainstream of Protestant Orthodoxy, and are in harmony with the historic creeds of the Christian Church. At Avenue Church we emphasize God's grace, forgiveness, and spiritual transformation.
Avenue holds three worship services each Sunday morning. Traditional worship is held at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. Our H2O Worship Gathering is held at 9:30 a.m. All three services are held in the sanctuary. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. in the educational wing of the building. Childcare is available for families attending worship and Sunday School every Sunday morning beginning at 7:45 a.m.
